The Dark Knight

The Dark in the Light
holding my attention with a grasp
so tight I am tempted to stay.
These shadows pull me deep
toward a desire not entirely my own.
And yet, underneath it all,
Life emerges with a new face
stronger than ever before,
while Death remains immortal.
