an Autumn bath

i will not turn away from that gaze,
the one that stares beyond my eyes.
for it is only you who can challenge
all my borders until i become
but little bits of dirt and leaves.
for one day i will leave this place,
but today i will not look away.
instead I will rise to meet
this great challenge
we call Life.
